No, Medicare do not currently provide rebates for counsellors under the Mental Health Care Plan item of the Medicare Benefits Scheme.
Either 60 or 90 minutes, the counsellor will use the last 10 minutes of your booked appointment to take notes and formulate future proposal plans to best assist you through your circumstances.
A 60 minute session is $145.00 and a 90 minute session is $195.00
A 60 minute session for a couple is $195.00
The number of sessions required is not fixed, but can vary depending on your circumstances, number of things you'd like to work through, willingness to make change and the plan you and your counsellor put together to assist you.
This one can also vary, after each of your sessions your counsellor will make a recommendation on what time frame your next appointment should be. If you have any questions and concerns about the frequency of your sessions, please let you counsellor know.
