Azul Hussain

Psychologist

MEd&DevPsych, BPsychSc (Hons), MAPS

Azul Hussain is an early-career registered psychologist with a strong interest in comprehensive educational and developmental assessments. Her approach is client-centred, trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and neuro-affirming.

Azul believes that assessments are more than just data collection. She strives to create a warm and respectful environment where individuals feel safe, heard, and understood throughout the assessment process.

Her work focuses on identifying each individual’s unique strengths, alongside areas where additional support may be beneficial. Recognising the importance of a person’s broader environment, Azul works collaboratively with families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams to provide practical recommendations that support long-term wellbeing, learning, and development.

Outside of clinical work, Azul is passionate about promoting resilience, wellbeing, and inclusion within the community through her involvement with the Australian Psychological Society (APS) Positive Psychology Interest Group (PPIG).
