"Your brain, your story, your strengths"

— Dr Jao Carminati

Dr Jao Carminati is a registered psychologist and Clinical Neuropsychology Registrar. She completed her PhD in Clinical Neuropsychology at Monash University in 2024, with her doctoral research focussing on cyber-risk and acquired brain injuries. She has experience working with those presenting with a wide range of neurodevelopmental, psychiatric and neurological conditions across the lifespan, across acute, subacute, and community settings. Jao also works part-time as a research fellow at Monash-Epworth Rehabilitation Research Centre within traumatic brain injury rehabilitation. Jao’s approach is warm, collaborative, and person-centred. She assesses each individual’s unique story, to not only understand a person’s cognitive strengths and challenges, but their broader experiences, values, and goals.
