Invictus Health is proud to announce a new community initiative offering 1,000 complimentary 30-minute counselling sessions for members of the LGBTQIA+ community.
This initiative follows Dr Judy Tang OAM’s recent attendance at the 2026 Women in STEMM Leadership Summit, where leaders came together to explore how representation, equity and influence can help create meaningful cultural change. The summit focused on shifting the conversation from representation to real influence, with sessions exploring leadership, inclusion, innovation and the systems that shape workplace and community experiences.
As part of her attendance, Dr Judy Tang OAM led a breakout session titled The Power to Shift Culture, exploring how leaders can influence systems, behaviours and mindsets to build workplaces where equity, growth and innovation can thrive.
In alignment with this message, Invictus Health is offering 1,000 complimentary counselling sessions to support LGBTQIA+ individuals seeking a safe, affirming and inclusive space to talk, reflect and access support.
Supporting LGBTQIA+ Mental Health and Wellbeing
The LGBTQIA+ community can experience unique challenges that may impact mental health, wellbeing and access to care. These may include identity-related stress, discrimination, family or relationship challenges, workplace pressures, social isolation, anxiety, depression, trauma or the emotional impact of not feeling understood or supported.
Accessing counselling with an affirming and inclusive practitioner can provide a safe space to explore experiences, strengthen coping strategies and receive support that respects each person’s identity and needs.
Invictus Health is committed to providing inclusive counselling services for LGBTQIA+ people across Melbourne and beyond. Our team understands the importance of creating a therapeutic environment where clients feel heard, respected and supported.

Why Inclusive Counselling Matters
Inclusive counselling recognises that people’s experiences are shaped by identity, relationships, community, culture and environment. For LGBTQIA+ clients, it is important that counselling is not only clinically informed, but also affirming, respectful and safe.
An inclusive counselling approach helps create space for clients to:
- speak openly without fear of judgement
- feel respected in their identity
- explore challenges in a supportive setting
- access care that acknowledges lived experience
- build confidence in seeking ongoing support
For many people, the first counselling session can feel like a big step. This initiative aims to make that step easier and more accessible.
